Everything You Need To Create A Beautiful Fall Display In Your Foyer

I am excited to share this with you!

I have curated the perfect Fall decorating display for your entry table. Download the clickable shopping list below!

We all need a little happiness right now and adding decorative elements that represent the change of seasons definitely helps!

Please note that this blog post contains affiliate links. This means when you shop via the link, I will get a small commission from the company. This is at no extra cost to you and supports blog posts like this one. Thank you:)

This display is neutral and classic. Which means it will work in any foyer and with any style.

All you need is some sort of table space in your entry area. A few stacked books to add some height. Add a ribbon to hang the wreath on the mirror. Get creative and add your personal touches. See below where I added some velvet pumpkins for extra texture.

All the items are from Ballard Designs, a company I love to use because of the price point, quality and styles. All accessories are 20% off through 9-21-2020!

Now if you are wanting more color, add velvet pumpkins. I found these beauties on Etsy.com. Just type in velvet pumpkins and they will come right up!

Since this display uses dried elements, I suggest battery operated candles!

Along with Fall decorating, I look forward to enjoying all things Pumpkin. Pumpkin Spice lattes especially. How about you?

Virtual Design – Can Pinterest Help You Create A Beautiful Home?

Virtual Design – Can Pinterest Help You Create A Beautiful Home?

I am guessing that when you are looking at interior design photos, you probably know what you like when you see it.

If you are like most people (including me) – you have collected lots of interior design inspiration photos on Pinterest, Instagram, Houzz, etc. Pinterest is my favorite and it is definitely a wonderful tool for designing your home.

However, what I often hear from my clients is that now that they have all these pretty decorating pictures, they feel overwhelmed as to where to start.

So many ideas! What works best? How in the heck do I pull this all together into one cohesive design look?

Actually, this is a large part of what I do as a virtual interior designer. I really enjoy looking at my client’s inspiration photos to  design a room.

As I sort through them, I am also considering their responses to the interior design questionnaire I send them. (All my clients get a customized design questionnaire to complete at the beginning of a project.)

Creating a room for an interior design client is like working on a fun art puzzle. I sift through all these photo ideas and figure out what works best.

Another part is working with couples and blending both their decorating tastes. It can take some compromise but it is possible. I enjoy helping couples navigate this design journey.

My goal is to design a beautiful space, but also one that makes sense for how my clients live and also considering the house they are in. This process takes a good amount of time and effort, but this is how we get to a design that “feels just right”.

A well-designed space is also about color and balance. While I am looking at colors, I am also balancing and considering your surrounding details. There could be big details that matter, but that you might be stuck with for now, like flooring, cabinets, stone, counter tops, etc. If you don’t like them (or can’t afford to change them) then we must incorporate them into the design.

Basically, you can’t ignore the elephant (big, fixed design elements) in a room and have a good result…they must be designed into the room. Of course, if you want ideas for changing those big ticket items, I can help with that too!

The internet is the most amazing resource for interior design. We have so many options!

As a virtual interior design, it is my main resource to help my clients all over the US. Finding things on the internet takes time, even for me, but I am probably faster than most:)

It takes experience to know where to find the perfect pieces for the right price and not spend all day looking. Most of my design clients are just too busy to be spending two hours looking for the perfect rug, etc. and that is why they need me.

Oh, and of course, your floorplan. Last to be discussed here but a must.

After I gather measurements for my client’s room, I create furniture floor plans to see what fits best.

If I can, I like to show options for different pieces and layouts. Then my client can move ahead knowing they have the ideal layout and order knowing the pieces fit.

I live in Florida but I work with clients all over the US. Right now, I have clients in New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Virginia and California. It is so cool to me that the internet allows me to help so many people.

If you are thinking you might want to re-do a room in your home, check out my Full Service Interior Design Package – link below.

Let me know if you have any questions about how I can help you. I also do Discovery Calls if you would rather have a quick chat on the phone.

Take care and be safe!

Best,

Claudia

3D Renderings – The Tool That Helps You Visualize Your Space

3D Renderings – The Tool That Helps You Visualize Your Space

With the new world we are living in, all things virtual are taking off! Edesign (virtual interior design) has become super popular as a way to safely design and decorate your home. I am excited about being able to work with clients all over the USA!

Today I hope to answer some questions about 3D renderings and how they differ from 2D concept boards.

I offer the following visuals for my clients:

2D Concept/Design Boards (2 dimensional)

3D Renderings (3 dimensional images)

jade-green-dining-room-rendering-nest-obsessed-interior-design

Image above is a 3D Rendering – Photorealistic

My edesign interior design packages (Full and Refresh) automatically include 2D concept boards. This is a great way to show you (in a collage type presentation) all the items and colors for your room and how they work together. These 2D interior design concept boards come with a “clickable” shopping list for easy ordering.

If you want to go one step further, you can add on a 3D rendering. I offer a Basic 3D Rendering and a Luxury 3D Rendering.

Basic 3D Renderings: These are helpful to “see” the interior space and items from different angles. It is a computer program I use with a pre-set library of items. This library will not have your exact furniture but I will choose something very close to represent your selection.

Luxury 3D Renderings: These are crisp and clear photo-realistic renderings. I pull items from a library and try to have the exact pieces but if not, then I will find items that are very similar to the items you have chosen. The luxury rendering is a recreation of the architecture of your actual room so it gives you the true feeling of the space. Why can’t it always be the exact item? Read more about this below…

3D renderings use 3d models that are pre-created on the internet. Although I am drawing the floor plan and the room, I am adding furniture models from a library that is online. Of course, not every piece of furniture being sold out there has a 3D model available (hopefully someday!) I do my best to find something very similar. Say you need to see the exact piece (maybe a way cool chair from Restoration Hardware, for example) then you can pay a 3d modeling expert to have the 3d model built. Usually $75-$100 per model. If you want this, I can facilitate it for you and then pop it in the rendering drawing of your room.

I hope this explain a little more about this new process that is becoming popular with virtual interior design.

If you have more questions, please message me. I would love to hear from you!

Best,

Claudia

Outdoor Dreams

Outdoor Dreams

The fact that the weather is starting to warm up is filling my heart with happiness! With all the changes we are going through in this new world, we need some sunshine and the outdoors to cheer us up more than ever!

The image above is a 3D Rendering I created. 3D Renderings are a luxury add-on to my eDesign packages, prices start at $200.00 a room and up, depending on the complexity of the architecture and design. I also offer Concept Boards (see blue umbrella design below). Concept Boards are included in all my eDesign Packages and they help to show the mood of the space and products for the design.

Virtual Design for Outdoor Spaces

A perfect outdoor space that is pretty, relaxing and inviting while allowing for social interaction with appropriate distancing. A space where you can invite a couple of friends over (bring your own beverages and snacks), sit 6 feet apart and then talk and laugh to your heart’s content!

Below is a concept board I created for a sweet client and her family. She wanted a clean, fun, bohemian style with neutrals and pops of black. Comfortable seating and of course, little white lights. She needed help with a floor plan to make sure everything fit properly while staying within budget.

eDesign project for My Client

I am thankful she agreed that I can share her project. Basically, this is a visual of the process we went through – after she filled out a design questionnaire and sent me photos. Note the clickable shopping list = easy. She and her family love the new design and set up. Just a few more steps to get the lights hung and add some plants but you can see that it is coming along great!

Here is another dream space, a 3D rendering I created. What a setting…although the sun is a little bright for me, I would need an umbrella!

Feel free to message me with questions about your design project! I would love to help you via eDesign. We can work together online to create beautiful spaces for you! Your pace, style and budget and you don’t have to leave your house:)

Thanks for reading 🙂 Stay safe!
