Thank you for taking the quiz! I think we can agree that quizzes are fun, right? However, as a designer I have learned that most people can not be put in an exact “style box”. I love working with clients to dive deep and figure out all the little things that add up to create their unique style. So, maybe the style results below are totally you but chances are you like some of it but maybe not all of it. My goal as a designer is to sort through all your options and create a look that feels just like you!

If Vintage Modern Farmhouse is your style mix: You want your home to feel relaxed and inviting yet fresh and bright. Farmhouse style is very on trend right now but by carefully mixing vintage and modern elements, it can be timeless. Vintage Modern Farmhouse is not overly themed or too rustic.  HGTV’s show “Fixer Upper” is one of your favorites! An updated feel is important to you, so mixing in furniture with clean lines is key. You also want the space to have some character, so mixing in some vintage style in the form of antiques that have a subtle farmhouse reference helps to refine this look. Architectural elements, like an old barn door, a piece of stained glass, an old cool leather chair, a piece of stained glass add warmth. The overall look is organized, light and cheerful with lots of white and off-white and if there is color it will tend to be light grays and pops of blue or green. Touches of black in lighting and accessories help to ground the look and add contrast and give a modern edge. Woods are usually washed and lighter but occasionally medium toned and rustic. Old rubbed bronze, aged brass and stainless steel metals are best for lighting, plumbing and furniture accents. If there are indoor plants, they are related to the garden outside or are more sculptural and not fussy. Rugs can be a vintage – look oriental, a washable indoor/outdoor sisal or an animal skin and layering rugs can work well. This style is great for families with children since the selections are practical and not precious. You want your home to be your haven but also be comfortable for family and friends.
