I work side by side with my clients, collaborating on ideas.
It’s a team effort. It’s sort of like having your best friend help you decorate but WAY better.
I am a Virtual Interior Designer based in Gainesville, Florida
but gratefully working via eDesign – Online with clients all over the USA
I grew up in a family of artists and my father was an Ornithologist — simply put, he studied birds.
Creativity was encouraged and my bedroom was my laboratory. I can still remember at age 8, the thrill of picking out my new wall to wall carpeting, a beautiful pink and white shag…don’t laugh:) this was very “in style” back in the day.
I also carefully chose the paint color for my walls and the new bedding. I would spend hours in my room, moving furniture around and trying new layouts. Decorating was my thing before I even knew that it could be a career.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design from Florida State University.
My husband is in the Zoo industry and we relocated from Florida to Richmond, Virginia in 2008 for his work.
Richmond really ignited my love of historic architecture and antiques. This is where I began to enjoy mixing beloved pieces and antiques with newer items to create a look that seems developed over time.
In 2020, we moved back to Gainesville, Florida (my hometown).
Interior design is what I love to do, even in my time off. Pinterest, Instagram, design magazines, design blogs, these are my addictions. (This probably drives my husband a bit crazy.)
We have two adorable, very fluffy, indoor cats. I love to cook and eat healthy food, but occasionally I also love not-so-healthy-traditional-southern-fare, like Virginia ham biscuits and BBQ. Oh, and I will never be too full for ice cream.
Interior Design is My Passion.
I truly enjoy helping homeowners (like you) create the dream spaces that they see in their head and online and bring them to life. I am excited that eDesign enables me to help more people create beautiful spaces. Interior design is my passion, hence the name, Nest Obsessed.
